Teaching

  • Co-created and delivered training content for an annual, multi-week workshop preparing approximately 20 incoming RA candidates per cohort on foundational student affairs concepts such as community building and group dynamics.
  • Co-instructed a full-semester, for-credit course on student development models and theories for a class of 19 students.
  • Contributed to the development of course curriculum and instructional design.

Committee Work

  • Developed interview materials for the newly created Hazing Prevention Coordinator position.
  • Reviewed application materials and interviewed candidates, contributing to the final hiring decision.
  • Reviewed and updated emergency and safety procedures while advocating for policy changes that supported a safe environment for students and employees.
  • Partnered with a student-led initiative to update Student Union bathrooms to address accessibility concerns raised by campus and community members.
  • Collaborated with campus partners to support institutional understanding of and compliance with the Stop Campus Hazing Act on a shortened timeline.
  • Communicated policy changes, training opportunities, and opportunities to participate in prevention workshop to 20,000+ students, faculty, and staff.
  • Created bi-weekly newsletters sent to 80+ potential candidates and faculty members highlighting Housing's graduate assistantships, academic programs, the institution, and surrounding community.
  • Coordinated first-, second-, and on-campus interviews of 115+ candidates to fill open graduate assistant positions.
  • Designed, coordinated, and facilitated training sessions for 30+ Housing and Dining senior staff members and developed presentation materials aligned with departmental learning outcomes.
  • Advocated for inclusive curriculum development to ensure training materials reflected the needs of students in residence halls.
  • Coordinated new staff onboarding by serving as a liaison between new staff and the department to ensure clear communication and smooth move-in processes.
  • Planned and facilitated social activities for new and returning staff members to build strong connections and community.
  • Collaborated to develop, revise, and assess Indiana State University's residential learning curriculum across 12 residential communities (3,700+ students).
  • Incorporated student feedback to strengthen programming, clarify staff responsibilities, and enhance student engagement initiatives.
